Menu was great, loved the salmon dinner. However, no true evening dining space except eating in the bar area. We didn't mind that, but others may find that uncomfortable. Staff was terrific, very helpful. Live music Friday and Saturday in the bar. Our room was small but charming, good beds, small bathroom sink area, but did have a separate shower/toilet area. Beautiful old world hotel with European flair. We understand a major renovation is planned in the near future. Highly recommend.

I came with my family for a short trip to austin , Alwana checked us in & she was exceptionally helpful ,professional, she made our checking so easy , even during our stay Alwana made sure that all our requirements & needs are met without any hesitation she definitely made our experience joyful . Housekeeping staff , valet parking staff were exceptional & helpful overall experience is unforgettable, overall service was impressive , our experience at the hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. Thanks to alwana & all the staff at the hotel you were amazing.

King Deluxe Room was well worth the money. Beautifully appointed, well laid out, comfortable, sofa a nice touch, comfortable bed, baths was perfect size with an ante-room with a second sink and coffeebar. Spacious, elegant, comfortable, and the restaurants on the property were absolutely superb. And the nicest small touches - a great white oise machine that buffered any sounds from adjoining rooms. The Cafe and Bakery on premises was fabulous, as was the 1886 Restaurant.

Room was fabulous with great view, comfortable bed, elegant appointments, small details including the Driskill D on the bed. The food in the cafe and in the evening restaurant was fabulous. Service outstanding. I could not get over how great everything was. I loved staying at The Driskill. It was an experience -not a room rental for the night.

The lobby décor was set up for Xmas with a huge, highly decorated tree in the center, under an extremely ornate ceiling sconce. Historic suite had nice foyer room, bedroom, and bath. All quite elegant.

The bar area was great, felt like an old English bar. Location is right on 6th street, lots around you, plenty of bars and restaurants. the Restaurant at the hotel had a delicious breakfast and lot of pastries, although the line-up to order was ridiculously long and only one person serving. The historical king room was lovely, a good size, huge bed.

The location of the hotel was perfect, in the heart of much to see. We stayed in the historical section of the hotel and the room was very spacious. The shower was simply amazing and the bed was comfy. I love a quiet hotel and heard zero outside noise or noise from other guests. It was a perfect stay.

We stayed on the "historical" side of the hotel. The king room was very nice and roomy and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.
